Media Statement DURBAN – Two suspects aged 25 and 36 are set to appear at the Port Shepstone Magistrate's Court today facing charges of business robbery and unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition. In the early hours of yesterday, Paddock detectives embarked on an intelligence driven operation at KwaMachi in Ezinqoleni area which resulted in the arrest of two men who were found in possession of firearms and ammunition. The police recovered three handguns and 261 rounds of ammunition which were allegedly stolen during a robbery which occurred on 14 October 2021 at a farm in Paddock. It is alleged that on the said date the farm owner went to town during midday when he received a report from his employees that the robbery had occurred and the suspect stole four rifles and three handguns. Four rifles were found abandoned on 15 October, near the old railway premises by a person who was cleaning the yard. The matter was reported to the police. Ends
