KWAZULU-NATAL - The Political Killings Task Team have made an arrest on the Murder of DA Councillor Nhlalayenza Ndlovu, who was shot and killed in December 2023 at his home in the Mpophomeni area, in Howick.

Two additional suspects have been arrested today which include a 56-year-old Inkosi and a 26-year-old suspect who coordinated the murder of the Councillor whilst in Pietermaritzburg Prison.

The pair will appear before the Howick Magistrates Court on Thursday 31 July 2025.

They will join the two suspects who were previously arrested and charged for the murder.

They will be facing charges of Conspiracy to commit Murder, Murder and possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.

The DA councillor was attached to the Umgeni Local Municipality at the time of his murder.
