PHUTHADITJHABA - The Phuthaditjhaba Social Crime Prevention Unit with the assistance of the community arrested a wanted suspect at Mphatlalatsane Village. The suspect is wanted for assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and escaping from lawful custody at local hospital and he is now back in the dock.

The weekly crime awareness campaign was being carried out at Mphatlalatsane Village by Phuthaditjhaba Social Crime Prevention members on 7 July 2025, at around 11:00. They got information about a wanted criminal who was seen in the same area where they were conducting their operations. The squad responded quickly to the location where the suspect was thought to be hiding. The sought suspect was positively located, and Lebajwa Matsuma was taken into custody. For additional handling, he has been turned over to the Phuthaditjhaba Detective investigation team.
