SEKHUKHUNE DISTRICT - The South African Police Service in Limpopo, through the Office of the Provincial Commander of Media Relations, Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, continues to strengthen community policing and raise crime awareness through strategic media engagements.

On Tuesday, 22 April 2025, Colonel Ledwaba, together with Motetema SAPS Social Crime Prevention Coordinator, Warrant Officer Rampedi, participated in a live radio campaign hosted by Thabantsho FM (91.0) in Tafelkop under Sekhukhune District. The discussion was facilitated by presenters Ms. Mathunyane and Sweetmor as part of the station's ongoing community outreach programming.

The radio interviews formed part of a broader Crime Awareness Campaign aimed at educating and empowering the public on various safety concerns. Key topics covered during the session included:

Gender-Based Violence and Femicide (GBVF)

The dangers and consequences of mob justice

SAPS Careers Campaign

Stock theft prevention

Acts of intimidation

Online fraud and scams

Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and public drinking

Burglary prevention

Robbery and personal safety
