KWAAIMAN - Police are investigating a case of murder after a 34-year-old male was stabbed to death inside the premises of Zithulele Hospital on Saturday 11 September 2021.

It is alleged that at about 04:00 on the mentioned date, the deceased together with his girlfriend and others were drinking inside the room belonging to the deceased.

An ex-boyfriend (suspect) of the girlfriend of the deceased arrived looking for her. After hearing a knock on the door, the ex-girlfriend opened the door.

The suspect entered the room and a fight between him and the deceased ensued. As a result the deceased was stabbed to death inside the premises of the hospital as he is working there as a professional nurse.

The 21-year-old suspect is arrested and will appear before Mqanduli magistrate court tomorrow, 13 September 2021.
