Woodstock police arrest three suspects for possession and dealing in drugs

WESTERN CAPE - Woodstock police officers continue with their quest to eradicate the distribution of, and substance abuse of drugs which plaque vulnerable communities in their area.

On Saturday, 05 July 2025, members conducted an intelligence driven operation in the Woodstock area after receiving information about two premises in Wright Street where drugs are being sold.

At the first premises a 69-year-old male was arrested for possession of drugs. The house was searched and 45 units of heroin and mandrax tablets were found. In the same street at another premises a 40-year-old female and 50-year-old male were arrested. Their house was searched and 245 sachets tik, 13 units Unga and seven and a halve mandrax tablets were found.   

Once charged, the suspects are expected to make their respective court appearances in the Cape Town Magistrates court on the mentioned charges.
