POTCHEFSTROOM - Police in Mahikeng arrested a wanted suspect during a routine operation conducted at a local taxi rank.

On Tuesday, 17 March 2026, members were conducting their normal crime prevention duties when they identified and apprehended a suspect who was wanted in connection with previous criminal case of Burglary Residential which occurred on 14 April 2028 in Mahikeng. The suspect was positively linked with fingerprints and will be profiled to determine any possible links to other cases. Suspect was arrested and detained. He is expected to appear before Mahikeng Magistrate court soon.

The Acting Provincial Commissioner Major General(Dr) Ryno Naidoo applauded the members for their vigilance and committed in ensuring that wanted suspects are brought to book.
