FREE STATE – The Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Investigation in Bloemfontein is appealing to the public to help trace a man as depicted in the photo who can help to solve an ongoing investigation.

On 08 August 2024 at about 14:00, G4S security officials were driving on the N8 enroute to Thaba Nchu when they were allegedly accosted by a group of armed suspects driving in three vehicles, a blue/grey Mercedes Benz, a white Toyota double cab, and a white Mercedes Benz. Security officers and passengers in two other vehicles also driving on the N8 escaped unharmed after being shot at. The suspects fled the scene empty handed.

Investigators have reason to believe that the man in the picture can shed light on the robbery. Anyone with information may call Lieutenant Colonel Babane Skota on 079 509 4998. Information received will be treated with strict confidentiality.
