KWAZULU-NATAL - Three more accused, Yogendren Pillay (40), Rowen Moodley (35) and Mohan Kumar Guddanti (38) appeared in the Pietermaritzburg Regional Court on charges of money laundering. The three were arrested in Johannesburg on Tuesday, 10 September 2024, and were charged together with their companies which received R4.5 million that was fraudulently stolen from the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development last year.
They made their first court appearance on Thursday and the matter was postponed to today for bail application. They were released on R20 000.00 bail each and the case was remanded to 09 October 2024 where they will join Prajeev Maharaj (31), Navin Ramsewak as well as Mohammed Ismail Tshose (41) whose bail was successfully opposed.
