News: Police offer reward for suspected muti killing
2014/08/27

The South African Police Service (SAPS) is offering a R 100 000.00 reward for information that would help solve the murder of 60-year-old Elina Mphaphuli. The deceased’s mutilated body was found in May this year in Mbilwi, just outside Sibasa, between rocks and covered with a towel. Some of her body parts were missing and police suspect that she was killed for muti.

Police have established a task team dedicated to the case. Anyone with information can call Colonel Mashaba at 082451 7188 or Constable Mutele at 0720833273. Callers can also remain anonymous by calling the SAPS Crime Stop toll free number at 08600 10111.

Limpopo Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Fanie Masemola believe that there are people within the community who have information which could be crucial to the investigation and help find the person or persons responsible for this crime. “We want to encourage our citizens to do what is right. Somebody, somewhere knows something about this senseless killing,” said Masemola
