    Swift response by police in Ntuzuma has led to the arrest of two suspects, within a few minutes after they attempted to kill an on-duty police officer in Newlands on Thursday, 29 February 2024. The suspects, aged 20 and 30, who are from Ntuzuma were arrested and will appear in the Durban Magistrate's Court on Monday, 04 March 2024, on charges of attempted murder of a police officer and illegal possession of a firearm.
