The missing person and her husband visited Mkhuze Ghost Mountain hotel as tourist. On 2025-09-27 they took a walk to the dam to take some pictures, since the sun was too hot the husband turn back to the hotel and left his wife to continue exploring near the dam. When the wife did not return the husband report the matter to the hotel staff and the matter was escalated  to the police. She has not been seen since.
