It is alleged that on  18 March 2022 at about 21:10, the victim and her friend were walking in Welstand farm to the hiking spot when they were approached by an unknown male, he walked with them but along the way he got aggressive and attacked the victim's friend with a knife. They managed to run but could not escape. The suspect caught up with the victim and dragged her into a mielie field. He then raped the victim before fleeng the scene with the victims shoes. An id kit of the suspect was constructed.
