On the 4th of April 2014 at about 20:50 the victim was attending a church service at the Jehovah Witness in Country View, Midrand. She left the service on two occasions to use the bathroom. On both these occasions the victim spotted a suspicious looking unknown black male passing her. When the church service concluded she left the church and was shot three times in the back. She was rushed to Tembisa hospital to receive emergency medical attention and she survived the ordeal. Witnesses compiled ID-kits of the suspect and his alleged accomplice.
