A 33-year-old man was arrested on 29 April 2026 for the murder of a 43-year-old attorney who was shot and injured at his practice in Saxonwold on 05 September 2025. The suspect was arrested following intensive investigations by the Gauteng Provincial Investigating Unit.

The suspect appeared before the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 04 May 2026, and the case was remanded to 11 May 2026 for a formal bail application. The suspect remains in custody.
