On Friday 2014-09-26 at about 08:00 a mother from P-Block came to Mbekweni Police Station to report her Missing Child. According to the information received, on Thursday 2014-09-25 at about 18:15 an unidentified African lady who only called herself Nosisi came to the complainants address and said that she is looking for a place to stay as her boyfriend, whom she was renting a flat with in Paarl had put her out.

The complaint Monica Manzi (38) felt for the suspect when she explained her story and allowed her to stay with them for a while. The complainant and her boyfriend Mzwandile Johnson, who is the father of the child, went to the nearby shebeen at O-BLOCK where they had few drinks with the suspect. At about 20:00 they all went home to the complainant's address to sleep but before they went to sleep the suspect asked the mother of the child to accompany her to the shebeen again to buy some more liquor.

They both went to the shebeen where the suspect bought liquor for herself and for the complainant and her boyfriend and they went back to the house. They enjoyed themselves and went to sleep. The complainant and her boyfriend slept on the floor and allowed the suspect to sleep on their bed along with their 2 month old baby boy. At about 04:34 in this morning the boyfriend woke up only to find the suspect as well as their child missing and then woken up his girlfriend.

They searched the place and the surrounding areas but the baby and the lady were nowhere to be found. The suspect left with their baby boy Azile Skafu. At the time of his disappearance he was wearing Beige/ Cream Crawler and the baby has a birthmark on his left hip.

A kidnapping case was opened for investigation. Mbekweni Police and Paarl FCS are looking for a woman who is believed to be in her mid-thirties with long dreadlocks. She is brown of complexion and was wearing a blue and black skirt, white top and black sandals. Anyone with information about the whereabouts of this suspect or the baby boy is kindly requested to contact the investigating officer of Paarl FCS Detective Constable Alastair Claassen on 076 177 4400 or Mbekweni Detectives on 021 868 9926.
