POLOKWANE: The South African Police Service in Giyani conducted a safer school awareness campaign at Hatshama Primary School in Makosha village on Tuesday, 17 August 2021.

The campaign was led by Social Crime Prevention Coordinator Sergeant Kubayi, Reservist Sergeant Chabalala, Station Communication Officer Constable Ridgewell Rikhotso and Young Cop on Patrol (YCOP) member DB Hlungwani.

Two hundred and fifty learners in grade 5 to 7 were addressed on the following issues:

* Bullying
* Criminal record
* Public Violence
* Child trafficking
* Substance abuse
* Teenage pregnancy
* Suspected stolen property
* Disaster Management Act

The school principal Mrs Tshani appreciated the visit by the police
