Western Cape: Suspects in Bishop Lavis this morning felt the presence of Operation Fiela in their area which led to a number of arrests, seizures of contraband and searches of vehicles, premises and persons. Our endeavours to root out the phenomena of crime in this area known for gang activity resulted in 14 suspects arrested for the possession and or dealing in drugs, one for being in possession of a stolen motor vehicle, one for assault and one for malicious damage to property. Six suspects who were wanted for serious offences have also been arrested. Once charged, the suspects will make court appearances in Bishop Lavis.
