DURBAN - With the voting for the 2024 National and Provincial Elections having started and police officers already on the ground, the Provincial Commissioner of KwaZulu-Natal Lieutenant General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi will officiate the sending off of the last contingent of police officers who have been deployed to ensure safety and security on 29 May 2024 at various parts of the province.

Police officers from the Provincial Office, eThekwini District and nearby districts will receive their marching orders from the Provincial Commissioner at a parade on Tuesday morning. The Provincial Commissioner will also deliver his message of well wishes to police officers before they take up their posts.

Media is invited to attend the parade which will be followed by a Media Briefing and a tour at the Provincial Joint Operational Centre (ProvJOC).
