Kimberley FCS Unit members stage silent gender-based violence role play in support of Women's Month

KIMBERLEY - Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences units in the Northern Cape continue to advocate against gender-based violence in support of Women's Month.

Today, 14 August 2020, the Unit Commander of Kimberley FCS, Captain Harriet McKenzie and her members staged a silent role play in solidarity and support of victims of gender-based violence.

The silent protests were staged at the Diamond Pavilion and North Cape Malls in Kimberley which forms part of the unit's Women's Month activities.

According to Brigadier Nicky Mills, the Provincial Head of FCS in the Northern Cape, FCS units in the province will be conducting various activities and programmes in celebration of Women's Month. He also commended Kimberley FCS Unit for the unique initiative in addressing violence against women and children.
