Media Statement from KwaZulu Natal Media Centre On 27 February 2019, the Ngwelezane Regional Court convicted and sentenced Sicebi Mthembu (24) to 14 years imprisonment for murder of Dumisani Mthembu (36) at Zonza Reserve in KwaMbonambi area. It is alleged that on 2 February 2018, Sicebi was on his was way back home coming from the local tavern when he came across the deceased. After an argument Sicebi allegedly stabbed Dumisani to death. A case of murder was opened for investigation at KwaMbonambi SAPS. A search was then conducted and the accused was arrested on the same day. He was found in possession of a knife that was used in the murder as well as the deceased loose hair was found in his possession.
