Bogus prophets wanted after a student was robbed at gunpoint

ODENDAALSRUS – On 19 August 2022, a female student was approached by two African men who pretended to seek direction. It alleged that the suspects pose as prophets and she was robbed of six cellphones. The victim was lured into bringing her cellphone and those of her friends.

Residents are sternly warned to be aware of these criminals posing as prophets.

A case of Robbery with a firearm was registered. An Identikit was compiled. The first suspect is dark in complexion, overweight, could be 1,7 metres in height. He was wearing a black shirt, dark blue denim and grey sneakers and could be 50 to 55 years old. The second suspect was light in complexion, 1,7 metres in height, slender, he was wearing a white cap, red jacket and black tracksuits pants and could be between 30 to 35 years old. Both speak Sepedi language.
