The Police in Phalaborwa are investigating the death of three people during a culpable homicide following the collision that occurred along R40-Phalaborwa and Mica road last night.

It is alleged that a Toyota sedan was travelling from south to north when it collided head-on with a Toyota quantum combi which was travelling to the opposite direction.

Three (03) female passengers who were inside the quantum combi died instantly and twelve (12) other passengers sustained serious injuries and they were taken to Maphuta Malatjie Hospital in Namakgale for medical treatment.

The cause of accident is unknown and Police investigations are continuing.
