The suspect Tonko Gift Tshehla who escaped in Motetema Policing area outside Groblesdal was re-arrested last night on the 2017-07-24 at about 22:00 at Sephaku village in Hlogotlou policing area following a tip-off from members of the Community.

The suspect will appear before the Motetema Magistrate’s Court on a charge of escaping from lawful custody and on his original multiple charges of rape.

The suspect aged 20, who is from Bapeding section in Tefelkop escaped from Motetema outside Groblersdal.

This suspect was originally arrested for a case of rape which he committed during 2016 and he was later linked to five (5) more other rape cases which he committed during 2014 where targeted young girls of around 16 years old.

The Police investigations are still continuing.
