DURBANThe Minister of Police, Nathi Mthethwa accompanied by Deputy Minister of Police, Ms Makhotso Sotyu will be meeting with the top 1500 police station commanders of the South African Police Service as part of the annual review and planning engagement around improving policing in South Africa, in Durban tomorrow and Friday this week.


The SAPS management, led by the National Commissioner of Police, General Riah Phiyega will include heads of various SAPS divisions, provinces, clusters and stations at the two-day workshop aimed at reviewing and improving strategies and policies to ensure that all in South Africa are and feel safe.


The workshop will among other matters be dealing with: 


- Repositioning Frontline Service Delivery,

- Rethinking Command and Control,

- Discipline Management,

- Public Order Policing,
