Car thieve apprehended in Jamestown

On Thursday, 26 October 2017 at about 17:30, Jamestown SAPS Station Commander, Captain Swartbooi and Warrant Officer Qacu were busy patrolling when they received positive information about a suspicious vehicle with registration number WCF 083 GP driving around in town. The information was followed up and a check was done which indicated that the vehicle was reported as stolen. A suspect (41) was arrested for the possession of stolen motor vehicle and he will appear in Jamestown District court on Tuesday, 31 October 2017. Further investigation reveals that the suspect was on his way to Boksburg in the Gauteng Province. 

Aliwal North Cluster Commander, Brigadier Xakavu commended members for their swift reaction in arresting suspect and the recovery of the stolen vehicle. He further thanked the community for providing the SAPS with positive information. “As the Police we want to assure community are safe in our hands working together more can be achieved.”
