Police campaigns ongoing in Limpopo Clusters

The police around the Tzaneen policing area have today, 19 February 2018, continued with the ongoing school campaigns that are hitting the ground in this province.

The campaign was led by the Cluster Commander Maj. General Maggy Mathebula accompanied by various station units, the Cluster office, Communication officers, social crime prevention, Vispol Commanders, SAPS Maake Station Commander and members, K9, POPS,CPF,YCP,VEP and in conjunction with different stakeholders visited two schools. One of the schools is reported to have low pass rate and the other school in the Maake policing area was identified as problematic. The two schools namely the Nelson Ramodike High School and Mabushe High School with a consolidated enrolment of 1933 learners were addressed and advised on the following topics:

Refrain from criminal activities but focus on Education
Drugs and substance abuse
Teenage pregnancy
Human trafficking
Sexual abuse
Dangerous weapons
Vandalism and other related crimes

Random search was also conducted in and around the school premises.

Disadvantaged/needy learners were also identified where school uniform will be donated to them soon as part of the God Mother and SAPS woman networking project to be hosted on 2 March 2018.
