A joint Intelligent driven operation was conducted in Makhado outside Thohoyandou where two (02) suspects aged 35 and 42 were arrested for possession of protected species (Pangolin).

During the arrest, a Toyota Hilux bakkie which was used to transport this pangolin was also seized.

Members on operation made a follow up after a tip-off from members of the community that ultimately led to the arrest of the suspects in the CBD area.

The suspects will appear before the Louis Trichardt Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 12 April 2018 for possession of protected species.

The Police investigations are still continuing.
