GAUTENG - Police arrested two suspects aged 25 and 33 for attempted murder and armed robbery at the corner of President and Polly Street on 15 May 2020 at 12:00.

Motor bike Squad were busy with their routine crime prevention duties when they heard people screaming at the corner of Goud and Commissioner Street. It is alleged that the suspects robbed a 35-year-old male of an undisclosed amount of money. When the suspects saw the police, one of them shot at the police.  They ran away and police gave chase until they were cornered at the corner of President and Polly Street.

The victim’s money was recovered and a licensed firearm belonging to one of the suspects was also recovered.

Investigations are under way and the suspects will appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate Court soon.
