Media Statement from Western Cape Media Centre Western Cape: The Bishop Lavis police carried out their duty to create a safe environment and brought four men to book last night after they were found to be in possession of firearms and ammunition without a license. Police responded to a gang shooting in progress in the area and, upon arrival, they searched four men aged between 21 and 28 years old. They found two firearms: a Norinco star 9mm and an Astra 9mm pistol with 16 rounds.
The suspects are expected to appear in the Bishop Lavis Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, facing charges related to the illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
