Media Statement issued by the Limpopo Media Centre The South African Police Service Provincial Commissioner in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Nneke Ledwaba has expressed concern over the ongoing domestic related cases that are still prevalent in some areas throughout this Province. It is alleged that a 35-year-old-man was found hanging in his home by family members at Mandala village in the Siloam policing area outside Thohoyandou. The Police were immediately summoned and reacted swiftly. The Police have since started with their initial investigations that have revealed blood stains on the deceased's clothes however the deceased's wife and car were missing. Subsequent to this finding by the Police, the body of the deceased's wife was later discovered inside the deceased's vehicle parked in the bushes near Thathe village. The wife had multiple stab wounds throughout her body. The knife believed to be the murder weapon used was also found next to the deceased's body. The motive behind this case is not clear at this stage however domestic violence cannot be ruled out. In another domestic related incident a man allegedly hacked his three children to death at Manyi village in Mphephu policing area over the weekend after accusing their mother of cheating on him. Members of the community are once more advised and encouraged to consult with the relevant local Professionals and Authorities in case of any domestic related matter for intervention rather than harming or killing each other.
