The 16 days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children Campaigns continue

The Dennilton SAPS Communication officer Sergeant Selala, Constable Masombuka, the Domestic Violence coordinator and the Ycop members embarked on a crime awareness campaign held at Ndlovu Theatre in Elandsdoorn.

Different stakeholders such as the Social Development, Department of Health, Pastors Forum, International Disability ambassadors and local schools for the disable took part in the initiative.

The campaign kickstarted with a 3km Fun walk whereby everyone became a winner and received a Gold medal followed by fitness exercise through aerobics.

The campaign unfolded at the theatre where Constable Masombuka addressed the attendees on Domestic violence, sexual offences and she further encouraged everyone to report or seek help when they experience such incidents.

Ycop member Thabo Makitla addressed the community about the challenges faced by the disabled and requested everyone to take responsibility in protecting them. The audience was entertained by Loskop fire fighters on drill display, disabled learners performed ballroom dance, Pantsula dance, poetry and many more.
