The Police in Stilfontein are investigating a case of murder after a man aged between 45-47 years-old was found dead on Sunday, 23 February 2014 at his home in Stilfontein at about 11:00.

It is alleged that the family of the deceased last seen him alive on Thursday, 20 February 2014.  The family got worried when they did not see or hear from him, and they went to his home where they found the deceased lying motionless on the floor of the living room; his feet were tied with a rope and his face was covered with a carpet.

The man was certified dead on the scene and the autopsy will confirm the cause of his death.
