Media Invitation from the Office of the Minister of Police

GAUTENG - Police Minister, General Bheki Cele will on Saturday 12 August 2023, join Gauteng SAPS Operation Shanela targeting illicit and counterfeit goods, hijacked and abandoned buildings in Johannesburg Central.

The targeted Operation Shanela will be led by Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General, Elias Mawela and is expected to also deal decisively with by-law transgressions, enforce liquor trade compliance and enhance overall police visibility in the economic hub of the country.
