Media Statement from Eastern Cape Media Centre KING WILLIAM’S TOWN- A 28 year old Walmer man appeared in the Port Elizabeth magistrate court today, 4 January 2016 on a charge of housebreaking. It is alleged that between 20:00 on 31 December 2015 and 07:00 on I January 2016, a residential premises was broken into in Walmer location. Entry was gained by breaking a bedroom window. A computer to the value of R4000 was stolen. Investigations led police to a house in Walmer location where part of the stolen equipment was recovered. The remaining half of the computer was found at the suspect’s house on 2 January 2016. The suspect was arrested and charged for possession of suspected stolen property and housebreaking. Tembelani Ntontiso was released on R300-00 bail and his next court appearance is on 1 March 2016. The SAPS appreciates the community’s participation in the fight against crime and they urge the community to continue to provide information relating to criminal activities in their areas.
