Man arrested for vehicle theft and malicious damage to property: Calvinia

The Police in Vosburg arrested a 38-year-old man for theft of a motor vehicle, after a silver -grey Isuzu bakkie was allegedly stolen from a residential premises in Calvinia, over the past weekend. The police activated surrounding police stations and arrested the suspect at a roadblock in Vosburg, on Sunday, 14 July 2019 at about 5pm.

Police in Calvinia are also investigating a malicious damage to property after 3 dogs from the premises of the motor vehicle was allegedly poisoned. Seven other dogs from neighbours in that area was also allegedly poisoned on the same evening.

The suspect should be appearing in the Calvinia Magistrates Court today. The investigation continues.
