NORTHERN CAPE - Roodepan SAPS accompanied by members from Kimberley Stock theft unit and Home Affairs conducted visit to in the Roodepan policing area yesterday, 09 October 2019, as part of their rural safety.

The focus of the visits was to check that the livestock was branded according to prescripts and also to check for undocumented persons working on the farms. The joint group also conducted stop and search actions on the same premises looking for any illegal substances such as drugs and concoctions. This exercise was to enhance and strengthen the working relationship between the farmers and SAPS. The police maintained high visibility throughout the day, although no arrests were made. The actions were appreciated by the farm owners especially visibility on the farms.
