EASTERN CAPE - Queenstown Police arrested a 30-year-old man for alleged rape of his former girlfriend aged 22. It is alleged that the victim was walking along a street at Ekuphumleni, Lessyton near Queenstown on Thursday, 16 January 2020 at about 21:00.

The victim came across the suspect who did not say anything. The suspect is alleged to have dragged the victim to his house where he allegedly raped her. A case of rape was registered at Queenstown Police Station. Police acted swiftly as they traced and arrested the suspect on Friday, 17 January 2020. The suspect will appear before the Queenstown Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 20 January 2020 on a rape charge.
