DURBAN: On 22 February 2020 police at Chatsworth SAPS acted on intelligence with regards to three men who were in possession of suspected stolen property.                                           

The team proceeded to Arena Park in Chatsworth where they recovered 22 x 32 inch television sets and 60 boxes of led lights with each box containing 60 lights. The total value of the recovered property is estimated at R200,000-00. Three suspects aged between 19 and 56 were placed under arrest for being in possession of suspected stolen property. They are expected to appear at the Chatsworth Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, 24 February 2020. 

The KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Khombinkosi Jula praised the team for the recovery of stolen property. “We would like to thank the community for their partnership in the fight against crime and encourage them to continue providing us with information of criminal activities committed in their neighbourhood,” he said.
