Media Statement from Western Cape Media Centre Ocean View On 2015-01-15 02:00 a resident cyclist was found travelling without a light. A search yielded 10 stoppe of dagga in his possession and the suspect, a 35 year old male from Ocean View, was detained. On 2015-01-15 at 02:30 in Ocean View, upon searching for a wanted suspect, SAPS found the suspect at an address. Prior to the arrest, the suspect (an 18 year old male) threw away a bag, which was found and the following content s found:
• 72 x packets of Tik On 2015-01-15 at 17:42 in Jupiter Road, Ocean View, a resident was travelling in his vehicle when he was approached by three knife wielding suspects. The complainant managed to get away and alert SAPS. Ocean View SAPS members immediately responded and arrested four suspects and retrieved the complainant`s vehicle. Fish Hoek On Saturday 2015-01-17 at about 08:00 a firearm was located in a yard of a premise in Fish Hoek. Investigation led SAPS to the arrest of a male from the area. This timely investigation has led to a possible breakthrough to persons whom utilize the threat of violence in crimes and theft in this area as well as surroundings. Great work another illegal firearm off the streets and possibly information that with end another crime circle. On Saturday 2015-01-17 evening Fish Hoek SAPS and the Traffic department held a joint road block at which 12 persons were detained for possible drunken driving offences.
