MAKHANDA - The Provincial Monitoring Team was pleased with the proceedings on day one of the vaccination drive in Makhanda today.

On Tuesday, 27 July 2021, members' enthusiasm was the force behind the reasonable numbers that turned out for vaccination in Makhanda.   Foley Sports Ground vaccination site closed on the first day of vaccination, after 270 members received their jabs.

An off-duty Constable Damyn Walton from Grahamstown Operational Command Centre was the last person to be vaccinated on the day. Constable Walton encouraged members to vaccinate.  "To colleagues, especially those that are in operational environments, must consider vaccination, as they are in direct contact with the public”, added Constable Walton.
