Four held with bags of dagga

NORTHERN CAPE - Police in Campbell have arrested four suspects  for possession of dagga. This morning at about 03:00 along the N8 road in Campbell, a 37-year-old man was arrested after being found with a bag full of dagga. The man was arrested during a vehicle check point. The suspect was reportedly transporting newspapers.

On Thursday 21 May 2020, at about 23:00, three men aged 40, 49 and 51 were arrested during the vehicle check point in Campbell. The suspects were caught with four bags full of dagga.

The vehicles used by the suspects have been confiscated as they were used in the commission of crime.

The four suspects are expected to appear before the local Magistrate’s court on Monday, 25 May 2020 facing charges of dealing in dagga.

Campbell Station Commander, Captain Israel Mosakga applauded the members for their vigilance. He pointed out that Campbell area is a no go area for criminals.
