KING WILLIAMS TOWN - Tactical Response team (TRT) members deployed at Dutywa, Crime Intelligence Unit and Law enforcement conducted a search and seizure operation at Doti Locality Dutywa, following information about illegal possession of unlicensed firearms on 05 August 2020 at about 3:00

A forty-year-old suspect from Doti Locality, Mangati was arrested for possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

Upon circulation of the firearm, it came out belonging to Mr Bennett Pumelele Banzana of Cuntsula Locality, Zibhodla Admin Area Mqanduli and was not reported stolen yet.

The suspect was detained in Dutywa and is expected to appear in Dutywa magistrates' court tomorrow 06 August 2020 facing a charge of possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
