MPUMALANGA – Mphindani Joshua “Tso” Qwabe (45) was arrested by members of the Hawks Serious Organised Crime Investigation together with Barberton mine officials during intelligence driven operation on Monday, 26 February 2021 at Barberton. He was remanded in custody by the Nelspruit Magistrate Court on Monday, 01 March 2021 for alleged fraud, corruption, extortion, conspiracy to commit crime and enticement to commit a crime.

The arrest followed an intelligence driven information received about the suspects who demanded gratification from the complainant.

The case was postponed to Friday, 05 March 2021 for a formal bail application.
