Plooysburg police are investigating the murder of Mohammed Springbok (29). On 26 October 2014 at approximately 19:00, it is alleged the deceased and the suspect were busy drinking on a farm near Plooysburg and had an argument over a bottle of whisky. The suspect fatally wounded the victim with a sharp object in his neck and fled the scene. On 4 November at 23:00, Plooysburg Police followed up on information and arrested the suspect in a house in Club 2000, Kimberley. Willem Springbok (26) was found hiding under a couch inside the premises and was apprehended by Plooysburg SAPS Detective Constable Jeffrey Kanakang. The suspect appeared in the Douglas Magistrates' Court on Thursday, 06 November 2014 and the case was remanded for 25 November 2014 for a formal bail application. The investigation continues.
