POTCHEFSTROOM – A 27-year-old woman is expected to appear in the Moretele Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 9 September 2020, in connection with the alleged murder of a 30-year-old Christinah Ditsele . According to information at our disposal, the suspect was apprehended on Monday, 7 September 2020, at Cyferskuil village near Brits after she stabbed Ditsele with a knife on the chest. It is alleged that suspect had an argument with her 22-year-old boyfriend accusing him of cheating with the victim. It is further alleged that the suspect left her boyfriend on the street. She came back a while later carrying a knife and that prompted the boyfriend to flee. It is alleged that the suspect then saw Ditsele whom she grabbed, pushed her to the ground and stabbed her on the chest. Ditsele was transported to Kutlwanong Clinic, where she was certified dead. The suspect was apprehended and charged with murder. The North West Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Sello Kwena condemned the incident and pleaded with members of the community to solve their differences amicable rather that resorting to violence which often leads to incidents such as this one.
