Media Statement from Directorate for Priority Crimes Investigation (HAWKS) NORTH WEST – Two suspects aged 46 and 51 were arrested by the Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Investigation for illegal dealing and possession of unpolished diamonds in Christiana on Wednesday. A sting operation was conducted where unpolished diamonds worth approximately R50 000-00 were found in the suspects’ possession. The diamonds were subsequently seized for further investigation. Meanwhile, the suspects are expected to make their first appearance before the Bloemhof District Court on 08 January 2021. Ends
