Media Statement KIMBERLEY - Police in Prieska have arrested a 55-year-old man in connection with the case of murder. It is alleged the suspect stabbed his wife to death at Ethembeni in Prieska on Friday, 29 January at about 12:45. It is reported the two were having domestic related problems. The suspect is expected to appear before the local Magistrate’s Court tomorrow, 01 February pending further police investigation. Meanwhile, police in Jan Kempdorp have arrested a 73-year-old man in connection with the murder of his 56-year-old partner. Is it alleged the victim was stabbed with a knife during an alleged dispute. The incident was reportedly committed at Ganspan in Jan Kempdorp yesterday at about 03:15. The suspect is expected to appear before the local Magistrate’s Court tomorrow, 01 February 2021. Police investigations are continuing. Partners are requested to seek assistance from religious leaders, social workers or elders when experiencing problems rather than resorting to violence. Ends
