KIMBERLEY - On Friday, 19 March 2021, four stations around the Kimberley area joined efforts in fighting crime embarking on a crime prevention operation starting from 08h00 until 15h00.

During the first phase of the operation, vehicle checkpoints and a road block in each precinct were conducted whereby traffic fines were issued amounting to R7500.

Alcohol was confiscated during a joint raiding at Riverton and a fine of R1500 was issued.

One arrest was made for possession of drugs (mandrax and suspected tik) with a street value of approximately R418.50.

The commander in charge of the operation, Colonel Nicholas Mtongana, thanked the members for their dedication and hard work.
