Provincial Corporate Communication in Limpopo continues with on-air crime awareness campaigns

DENNILTON - The SAPS Provincial Commander of Media Centre, Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe accompanied by the SAPS Dennilton Station Communication Officer, Sergeant Inanda Selala, the Sector Commander Warrant Officer Elias Ntuli and the Young Civilians on Patrol (YCOP), have on Friday, 26 February 2021, proceeded with the radio campaign at Moutse community radio station situated at Dennilton outside Groblersdal in the Sekhukhune District.

The following issues were addressed during the daytime slot.

  • Disaster Management Act that including the adhering to curfew, wearing of masks in public etc.
  • Gender-based Violence (GBV)
  • Drownings
  • Community based crime prevention initiatives, such as the Neighbourhood Watch, Street Committees, Community Police Forum and Sector Forums.

Lastly, listeners were encouraged to attend all meetings called by the Police especially during the re-election of the Community Police Forum structures.

As part of the ongoing media engagement by the Component across the Province, after the interview, a short discussion session was held to foster the working relationship between the South African Police Service and the media houses where matters of common interests were shared.
